Make your reputation while protecting and upholding ours. Working at the core of our business, you’ll help us navigate the laws and regulations that govern our industry. By empowering our employees to uphold our values and achieve our goals, you’ll support the success of everyone here.
- Applications open in August.
What to expect
Your experience will begin with five weeks of intense training, followed by three eight-month-long rotations in one of our New York-based teams. These could see you supporting teams, business divisions or the whole Group. As you progress, you’ll broaden your understanding by working on projects such as:
- Reviewing policy breaches and escalations to identify themes and create recommendations
- Drafting procedures for regulatory disclosures
- Advising colleagues about regulation related to specific products and services
- Helping maintain the barrier between private side and public side teams
- Working with IT to represent Compliance requirements for new systems
How you’ll develop
During your time in our graduate program, our formal and informal training will give you the knowledge you need when you need it.
First up is our Initial Training Program (ITP) – a cross-divisional classroom training program where you’ll learn financial markets fundamentals, as well as technical and professional skills. By the end, you’ll be equipped with everything you need to know about our firm, the markets we operate in and how your role fits in.
Once you’ve spent a few months in your role, our Continuing Learning curriculum launches, unifying and refining the concepts that you’ve learned during ITP and the practical training you’ve completed with your team.
Our Program Management team is committed to helping
you achieve your goals at Barclays. Throughout the program you will receive
career guidance, continuous performance coaching and feedback to keep you on
track. Your managers and colleagues will be here to support you too.
When you complete your time as an Analyst,
you’ll have a number of options open to you, including placement into an
exciting role right here at Barclays.

Meet our people
When I moved to London, I had the opportunity to be a part of a number of regulatory change initiatives.
The continuing education program available here is great because it starts a few months after hitting the desk, giving you ample time to become familiar with and ready to tackle more complex topics.
